The 18-year old housemate of Lucio Tan’s estranged brother, Mariano Tanenglian, is determined to press charges against him and his family.
In a statement, Atty. Anna Marie Trinidad said that the victim, Mary Jane Sollano, has decided to give her sworn statement and complaint to the Department of Justice despite former agreements of release between her and her former employer. Sollano was imprisoned for five years inside Tanenglian’s residence and was abused by Mariano Tanenglian’s wife, Aleta, and their children. Also, the victim said that she was not allowed to go outside, make a call to her relatives, check the calendar, and was not given enough food.
Barangay watchmen who were interview said that Sollano often displays a cardboard that asks passerby to help her.
